About This Document
This document explains how to use Fotbo AI, a platform that creates complete websites from descriptions written in everyday language. It is intended for people without a technical background: there is no programming code, and all specialized terms are explained in plain language.
Every section follows the same format: first, a brief explanation of why the feature is useful; then step-by-step instructions; and finally, common issues and how to resolve them.
How to Read the Instructions
- Follow numbered steps in order—each one describes a single action.
- Button, field, and section names are shown in bold—this is how they appear in the interface.
- A “Tip” callout is optional, but it can make your work easier.
- A “Warning” callout highlights places where difficulties arise most often.
Glossary
Here are a few terms you will see throughout this guide. Return to this section whenever something is unclear.
| Term | What it means in plain language |
|---|---|
| Prompt (request) | The text you use to tell the artificial intelligence what you want it to do. For example: “Create a website for a dental clinic.” This is the main tool for working with Fotbo AI. |
| Chat (project) | A separate workspace for one website. Its entire edit history is stored there. One website—one chat. |
| Credits | The service's internal “currency.” Every request to the artificial intelligence uses a certain number of credits. |
| Domain | The website address people type into a browser. For example, mysite.com. |
| Subdomain | A free prefixed address provided by the service immediately, such as mysite.fbo.site. |
| Publishing (deployment) | The point when your website becomes available to everyone on the internet, rather than only to you. |
| Code export | Downloading the website files as an archive. |
| Interface theme | The light or dark appearance of the service itself. It does not affect your future website. |
| Responsive design | A website's ability to look right on both computers and phones. |
1. Registration and Sign-In
You need an account so the service can remember your projects, credit balance, and settings. You cannot create a website without one.
Registration is free and takes less than a minute. As soon as you register, you receive starter credits and can create your first website.
1.1. Registration
Registration means creating an account for the first time. You only need to do this once.
Open fotbo.ai and click Sign Up in the top-right corner of the page.
The Fotbo AI home page before signing in. The Log in and Sign Up buttons are in the top-right corner.
The service offers three ways to create an account. All three are equivalent—choose whichever is most convenient for you.
| Method | Best for | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Most users. This is the fastest option because you do not need to create a separate password. | A Google Account (a @gmail.com address or a company account on Google Workspace) | |
| GitHub | People who already use GitHub and plan to export their website's code. | A GitHub account |
| Email and password | People who do not want to link their account to other services. | A working email address and a new password |
Registration page: Continue with Google and Continue with GitHub buttons, Name, Email, and Password fields, Create account button, and Already have an account? Log in link.
Note. Accounts created through Google or GitHub initially have no Fotbo AI password. Use that provider to sign in until you set a password in Settings; afterward, you can also sign in with the account email and that password.
Registration with Google
- On the registration page, click Continue with Google.
- A Google window will open with a list of your accounts.
- Select the account you want to use. If it is not listed, click “Use another account” and sign in to it.
- Google will ask for permission to share your name, email address, and profile picture with Fotbo AI. Click “Continue.”
- The Google window will close, and you will be taken into the service automatically. Registration is complete.
Note. Fotbo AI does not receive or see your Google password. The service only receives your name, email address, and profile picture.
Registration with GitHub
- On the registration page, click Continue with GitHub.
- The GitHub page will open. If you are not already signed in to GitHub, enter your credentials there.
- GitHub will show which data Fotbo AI is requesting. Click “Authorize.”
- You will be returned to Fotbo AI with your account ready to use.
Tip. This method is convenient if you plan to use the Live plan and export your completed website to GitHub, because the connection between the services will already be set up.
Registration with Email and Password
- In the Email field, enter your email address. Use an address you definitely have access to—password recovery emails will be sent there.
- In the Password field, create a password. It must be 8–128 characters long and contain at least one special character (for example: !, @, #, or $).
- If the page includes a password confirmation field, enter the same password again.
- Click Create account.
Tip. A good password is at least 10 characters long and does not contain your name, date of birth, or company name. The easiest approach is to combine three random words and add a number.
Going to the Sign-In Page
If you already have an account, you do not need to register again. At the bottom of the registration form, the Already have an account? Log in link takes you to the sign-in page. The Log in button in the website's top menu does the same thing.
Possible Registration Errors
Below are the most common situations and what to do in each one.
| What happens | Why it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The message “Unable to create an account. Check the fields and try again” appears | The email address is invalid or the password is too simple. You may also have registered through Google before and forgotten about it | Check the spelling of your email address and make sure the password is strong enough. Also try going to the sign-in page. If you do not remember the password, use password recovery (section 1.3) |
| A message says the address format is incorrect | There is a typo: the @ symbol or the dot in the domain is missing, or there is an extra space | Check the address character by character. Common mistakes include gmail.con instead of gmail.com or a space at the beginning of the line |
| The service does not accept the password | The password is shorter or simpler than the minimum requirements | Add more characters: length matters more than complexity. The password must be 8–128 characters long and contain at least one special character (for example: !, @, #, or $) |
| The Google or GitHub window does not open | The browser blocked the pop-up window | Allow pop-ups for fotbo.ai in your browser settings and try again |
| The window opens, but nothing happens after selecting an account | The connection was interrupted or a browser extension, such as an ad blocker, interfered | Refresh the page and try again. If that does not help, try an incognito/private window or another browser |
1.2. Sign-In
Signing in means returning to an account you have already created. You do this whenever you access the service on a new device or after signing out.
Open fotbo.ai and click Log in in the top-right corner.
Sign-in page: Continue with Google, Continue with GitHub, Email and Password fields with an eye icon, Forgot password? link, and Don't have an account? Sign Up link.
Note. If you registered through Google or GitHub and have not set a Fotbo AI password, sign in through that provider. After setting a password in Settings, you can use either the provider or email and password.
Signing In with Google
- Click Continue with Google.
- In the Google window, select the same account you used to register.
- You will be taken to the service's main screen automatically—there is no need to enter a Fotbo AI password.
Signing In with GitHub
- Click Continue with GitHub.
- Sign in to GitHub if prompted.
- After confirmation, you will be returned to the Fotbo AI main screen.
Signing In with Email and Password
- In the Email field, enter the address you used when registering.
- In the Password field, enter your password.
- Click Log in.
Viewing the Password You Entered
As you type, the password is displayed as dots so other people cannot see it. If you are unsure whether you typed it correctly, click the eye icon on the right side of the password field—the characters will become visible. Click it again to hide them.
Tip. This is the fastest way to check whether Caps Lock is on or your keyboard layout has switched to another language. Both cause the same “incorrect password” error.
The Password field in two states: the characters are hidden on the left and visible on the right after clicking the eye icon (the icon changes to a crossed-out eye).
Going to the Registration Page
If you do not have an account yet, click Don't have an account? Sign Up at the bottom of the sign-in form. This opens the registration form described in section 1.1.
Possible Sign-In Errors
| What happens | Why it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A message says the email address or password is incorrect | There is a mistake in the address or password, or no Fotbo AI password has been set for this OAuth account yet | Click the eye icon and check the password, Caps Lock, and keyboard layout. If you registered through Google or GitHub, try the corresponding provider |
| Email-and-password sign-in does not work after registration through Google or GitHub | No Fotbo AI password has been set yet | Sign in through Google or GitHub, then set a password in Settings |
| The page does not accept the details and refreshes | The browser has stale session data | Clear the site's cache or open fotbo.ai in an incognito/private window |
1.3. Password Recovery
If you forget a Fotbo AI password you previously set, you can replace it with a new one. This also applies to accounts originally created through Google or GitHub after a password has been set. You must have access to the account email address.
Note. If you registered through Google or GitHub and have not set a Fotbo AI password yet, sign in through that provider and add one in Settings. Once set, the password can also be replaced through recovery.
Following the “Forgot password?” Link
On the sign-in page, click Forgot password? below the password field. A separate page with a single email address field will open.
The Forgot password? link is located below the password field and aligned to the right.
Sending a Recovery Link
- Enter the email address used to register the account.
- Click Send reset link.
- A confirmation that the email has been sent will appear on the screen. You do not need to keep the page open.
Reset your password page: Email field, Send reset link button, and Back to log in link.
Note. For security reasons, the service displays the same message whether or not an account with that address exists. This is normal: if the email does not arrive, the account was most likely registered with a different address.
Following the Link in the Email
- Open your inbox and find the email from Fotbo AI.
- Click the button or link in the email—the page for creating a new password will open.
- If the link opens with a message saying it is invalid, it has expired. Return to the sign-in page and request a new email.
Setting a New Password
- Enter the new password in the first field.
- Enter it again in the second field—this protects against typing errors.
- Use the eye icon to make sure the password was typed correctly.
- Click Save. A confirmation that the password has been changed will appear.
Tip. Do not reuse a password from another service. If remembering all your passwords is difficult, use the password manager built into your browser: it can automatically generate and save a strong password.
Returning to the Sign-In Page
After you save the new password, the service will either sign you in immediately or show a Back to login link. Sign in with the same email address and your new password.
What to Do If the Email Does Not Arrive
Check the following in order:
- The Spam, Promotions, and Social folders in your inbox—automated emails often end up there.
- The address you entered: one incorrect letter is enough to send the email elsewhere.
- Whether you might have registered with another address—your work email instead of your personal one, or vice versa.
- If you registered through Google or GitHub but have not set a Fotbo AI password yet, sign in through that provider and add one in Settings instead.
- Wait 2–3 minutes and request the email again: delivery can occasionally be delayed.
If none of these steps helps, email [email protected] from the address you used to register and describe the situation.
2. Main Screen Overview
Immediately after signing in, you arrive at the main screen—the starting point for work on any website. Here you describe what you want to create and manage your account.
The screen is divided into three general areas: the top menu with settings, the large input field in the center, and sample prompts below it.
Fotbo AI main screen. 1—the top menu; 2—language selector; 3—theme switch; 4—future website description field; 6—Build now button; 7—sample prompts.
2.1. Top Menu
This is the horizontal bar at the top of the screen. It remains in place no matter which section you are in and contains a link to the home page, display settings, and the profile menu.
The Fotbo AI logo on the left works as a Home button: click it from any page to return to the main screen.
Close-up of the top menu: FOTBO AI logo, Home, Pricing, Cloud VPS, and Blog links, ENG language selector, theme switch, and Log in and Sign Up buttons.
2.2. Language Selection
The language selector changes the service interface language—the text on buttons, section names, and hints.
- Click the language indicator in the top menu (usually a two-letter code such as UA or EN, or a globe icon).
- Select the language you need from the list.
- The interface will switch immediately; there is no need to reload the page.
Warning. The interface language and the language of your future website are different things. The selector at the top changes only the text within the service. Specify the website language in your prompt: “Create the website in Ukrainian” or “Translate all website text into English.”
Expanded interface language list: ENG, UKR, RUS.
2.3. Changing the Theme
The theme is the light or dark appearance of the service. The switch usually looks like a sun and moon icon.
- Light theme—dark text on a light background. More comfortable in daylight.
- Dark theme—light text on a dark background. Easier on the eyes in the evening and in a dark room.
Click the icon and the appearance will change immediately. Your selection is saved and will be applied the next time you use the service.
Warning. The interface theme does not affect the website you create. If you want a dark design for the website itself, say so in your prompt: “Create the website with a dark color scheme.”
The main screen in dark (left) and light (right) themes.
2.4. Future Website Description Field
This is the main element on the screen: the large input field in the center. This is where you describe the website you want in everyday language.
Write freely, as if you were messaging a colleague. You do not need special commands, tags, or technical terms—the service understands ordinary language.
Even a short description such as “Create a website for a coffee shop” will work. However, the more details you provide, the closer the result will be to what you need and the fewer edits you will have to make later—which means fewer credits spent. Detailed examples are collected in Appendix A.
Empty input field with the hint “Create a landing page for my yoga studio in Kyiv…” and the Build now button.
The same field in the light theme: a paperclip icon for attaching files is visible at the bottom left.
2.5. Attaching Files
You can add files to your description, so you do not have to explain in words what is easier to show. The attachment button usually looks like a paperclip next to the input field.
Files worth attaching include:
- Logo—so the website is immediately created in your brand style.
- Photographs—your venue's interior, products, team, or portfolio work.
- Design example—a screenshot of a website you like, accompanied by an explanation such as “make it feel similar.”
Only images can be attached (supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP).
- Click the paperclip icon next to the input field.
- Select a file on your computer and confirm your selection.
- The file name will appear below the input field, showing that it has been attached.
- Explain what to do with the file in the prompt itself. For example: “Use the attached logo in the website header and the photos in the gallery.”
Warning. An attached file does nothing on its own. If you do not explain how it should be used, the service may ignore it. Always include an explanation with the file.
2.6. Project Creation Button
When your description is ready, click the creation button next to the input field (an arrow or Build now). The service will begin generating the website: it will choose a structure, write the copy, select a design, and optimize everything for phones.
Creation takes anywhere from several dozen seconds to a few minutes, depending on the complexity of the request.
After you click the button, the project workspace opens: the chat with your prompt is on the left, and the website being built is on the right.
Warning. Every click of this button creates a new project. If you need to change something in an existing website, do not create it again—send the edit request in that project's chat. This is faster.
Note. The Free plan allows only one active project. You need the Live plan to create a second one.
Generation in progress: the submitted prompt and AGENT PROGRESS panel are on the left, and a percentage progress indicator is on the right.
Project workspace: the chat with the prompt and Type a message field are on the left; the website preview being generated, desktop / tablet / mobile selectors, and Publish button are on the right.
A completed project in the workspace: the chat with the service's response is on the left; the website with view selectors (desktop / tablet / phone), page address, Publish button, GitHub icon, and Edit mode button is on the right.
2.7. Sample Prompts
Several ready-made sample prompts appear below the input field. This is the fastest way to see how the service works if you do not yet know where to begin.
- Click the example closest to what you want to create.
- Its text will be inserted into the input field.
- Customize the text—replace the industry, city, company name, and colors.
- Click the creation button.
Tip. Do not submit an example without changing it: you will get a demo website for someone else's business and spend credits on it. Take a minute to replace the details and the result will be much more useful.
Sample prompt panel below the input field: Nail artist portfolio, Coffee shop landing page, Online clothing store, Photographer blog, Fitness trainer website, Restaurant menu site.
2.8. Profile Menu
The profile menu is a side panel that slides out from the left edge of the screen. It opens using a small tab near the left edge—an orange semicircle with the first letter of your name. The button appears on every page of the service, including the home page and the page displayed after payment. This is where you access everything related to your account.
| Menu item | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Get extra credits | Purchase additional credit packages. Payment is handled through Stripe |
| Balance | Remaining credits, spending for the period, and a complete transaction history |
| Server & Domains | Your managed server and the domains used to open your website |
| Settings | Change your profile name, view your email address, and change your password |
| Help Center | Support chat (also available in the bottom-right corner of every page), documentation, and a contact form for emailing technical support |
| My Subscription | Your current plan, billing date, and subscription management |
| Sign Out | End your session. After signing out, you will have to sign in again to access your projects |
The panel is shown in section 3.1.
Note. Every item in this menu is described in detail in section 3, “Profile Menu.”
3. Profile Menu
The profile menu is your personal account area within the service. It shows how many credits you have left and which plan you use. It is also where you change account details, contact support, and sign out.
Everything in this menu relates only to your account and billing. These settings do not affect the content or appearance of the websites you create.
3.1. How to Open the Profile Menu
The profile menu is the side panel on the left. At the top are the Start new chat button (for creating a new project), search, and a list of your chats. At the bottom are the credit indicator and account management options.
Profile side panel: chat list, credit indicator (Credits 743.22 / 1500 and Extra credits), and Get extra credits, Balance, Server & Domains, Settings, Help Center, My Subscription, and Sign Out items.
The panel items are listed below in the same order in which they appear on the screen.
| Menu item | What it is | Where it is described |
|---|---|---|
| Get extra credits | Purchase additional credits | Section 3.3 |
| Balance | Credit balance and transaction history | Section 3.2 |
| Server & Domains | Server and domains for publishing your website | Section 3.5 |
| Settings | Account settings | Section 3.6 |
| Help Center | Help center and support chat | Section 3.7 |
| My Subscription | Plan and subscription | Section 3.4 |
| Sign Out | Sign out of the account | Section 3.8 |
Tip. The credit bar is always visible above the menu items—it shows the balance included with your plan and separately purchased Extra credits. This is the quickest way to check your balance without opening another section.
3.2. Credit Balance (Balance)
Credits are the service's internal “currency.” Every request to the artificial intelligence (creating a website or making an edit in the chat) uses a certain number of credits. When you run out, the service stops processing new requests, but websites you have already created remain in place.
The Balance section shows your current balance, how many plan credits have already been used, how many separately purchased credits remain, and your complete transaction history.
How to Check Your Balance
- Click Balance in the side panel.
- At the top of the screen, Current Balance shows your current balance and the date when your paid period ends (Period ends).
- Below it, the Plan credits bar shows how many plan credits you have used (Used) and how many remain (Remaining).
- Extra credits are shown on a separate line: this is your balance of purchased credits. The Top Up button next to it takes you to the purchase page.
Balance screen: current balance, Plan credits bar showing credits used and remaining, Extra credits line, Top Up button, Auto-renew is on label, and Transaction History with filters.
Note. Credits can be fractional: you may see values such as 743.22 or −1.62 in your balance and transaction history. This is normal—the service calculates the actual “weight” of each request instead of rounding to whole numbers.
Transaction History
Below the balance is Transaction History, a list of every transaction with its date and time. The filters above the list separate transactions by type:
- All—all transactions in order.
- Plan + and Plan −—plan credit additions and deductions.
- Extra + and Extra −—purchased credit additions and deductions.
Tip. If your credits are disappearing faster than expected, open this history and compare the transaction times with your activity in the chat. This makes it easy to see which requests cost the most.
How Much Actions Cost
The history in the screenshot gives a general sense of the amounts: a large generation uses approximately 200–300 credits, while small background operations use 1–2 credits.
Warning. Credits are deducted for the request itself, not for a successful result. If you do not like an edit and ask for it to be redone, that is another deduction. It is therefore more cost-effective to make your prompt detailed the first time.
What to Do When You Run Out of Credits
- Wait for the limit to reset—the date appears next to Period ends.
- Buy more credits using Top Up or Get extra credits—see section 3.3.
- Switch to the Live plan if you are still on the free plan: 1,500 credits per month instead of 300—see section 3.4.
Tip. Be sure to review Appendix A, “Sample Prompts.” The most common reason for using credits quickly is submitting short prompts such as “make it look nice,” which then require many small edits.
3.3. Additional Credits (Get extra credits)
If the credits included with your plan are not enough and you do not want to wait for the next period, you can purchase a package. Purchased credits are added under a separate Extra credits balance and are not mixed with plan credits.
How to Purchase a Credit Package
- In the side panel, click Get extra credits (or click Top Up on the Balance screen).
- Select a package from the list: 50, 100, 250, 500, or 1,000 credits.
- Confirm payment. Payments are processed through Stripe: you enter your card details on Stripe's side, and Fotbo AI cannot see or store them.
- After successful payment, the “Payment successful!” page will open, and a receipt will be emailed to you.
- Return to the service using Create a website, or check that the credits were added using View subscription.
Page after successful payment: Stripe confirmation, a message that the plan is activated and the card has been saved, “A receipt has been sent to your email,” and Create a website and View subscription buttons.
Packages and prices are listed at https://ai.fotbo.host/credits/
Note. After payment, the service saves the card for future payments—this is stated directly on the confirmation page.
Possible Payment Errors
| What happens | Why it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The bank declines the payment | The card does not support online or foreign-currency payments, or a limit was reached | Check your banking app to make sure online payments are enabled, and try another card |
| The money was charged, but the credits did not appear | There is a delay between Stripe and the service | Open Balance and refresh the page using Retry. If the credits are still missing, contact support and attach the receipt from your email |
| The payment page does not open | The browser blocked a pop-up or an extension interfered with the page | Allow pop-ups for fotbo.ai, disable your ad blocker, and try again |
3.4. My Subscription
The My Subscription section shows your current plan, the next billing date, your remaining credits, and the complete list of what is included. This is also where you manage and cancel your subscription.
My Subscription screen: LIVE plan at €15.00/month with Active status, Next billing date, Credits 1500 / 1500 bar, Manage Plan and Cancel Subscription buttons, and What's included list.
Differences Between the Plans
The service has two plans: Free and Live, which costs €15 per month. Click Manage Plan on the subscription screen to compare them side by side.
Comparison of the plans on the Manage Plan screen: Free at €0 on the left with a list of unavailable features marked by crosses, and Live at €15 on the right with a BEST VALUE label. Downgrade and Current plan buttons appear at the bottom.
| Included feature | Free (€0) | Live (€15 / month) |
|---|---|---|
| Credits | 300 per month | 1,500 per month |
| Number of projects | 1 | Unlimited |
| Active chats | 1 | Unlimited |
| Artificial intelligence edits | Limited | Unlimited |
| Publishing a website online | Unavailable | 1 published website |
| Hosting and server | Not included | Included in the plan |
| Custom domain | Unavailable | Can be connected |
| Export code as a ZIP archive | Unavailable | Available |
| GitHub integration | Unavailable | Push and pull |
| Purchasing additional credits | Available | Available |
Warning. The main limitation of the Free plan is that you cannot publish a website online. With the free plan, you can create a website and view it in the preview, but you cannot share it with clients using a link: publishing, hosting, a custom domain, and code export are only available with Live.
Billing Date and Automatic Renewal
Next billing next to the price shows the date of the next automatic charge. On the Balance screen, this is the same date as Period ends, and Auto-renew is on means the subscription will renew automatically.
Warning. The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
How to Change or Cancel Your Subscription
- Open My Subscription.
- Click Manage Plan to open the plan selection window.
- Your current plan is labeled Current plan, and its button is disabled. The other plan has an available action: Downgrade to switch to Free, or a button for switching to Live if you are on the free plan.
- To cancel the paid plan entirely, click Cancel Subscription on the subscription screen. The service will ask for confirmation.
After cancellation, the plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for—the Next billing date—and then the account switches to Free. Your websites are not deleted, but the free plan restrictions begin to apply. Most importantly, the published website becomes unavailable to visitors.
3.5. Server and Domains (Server & Domains)
The Server & Domains section controls where your website lives: the server included with the Live plan and the domain where the website can be opened. On the Free plan, this section is effectively empty because publishing is unavailable.
Whose Servers Host the Website
Hosting is provided by fotbo.com, the service's infrastructure partner. You can learn more about it on the Cloud VPS page in the website's top menu.
Cloud VPS page: fotbo.com as the official infrastructure partner, Get a server on Fotbo button, and four panels—App Marketplace (WordPress, Django, n8n, Docker), Instant Setup, Server Locations (the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, and the United States), and 99.9% Uptime.
- You do not need to purchase a separate server for normal use of Fotbo AI: hosting is already included in the Live plan price.
- You only need your own VPS from fotbo.com if you want to manage the server yourself—for example, to deploy something other than the website you created.
- Server locations include the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, and the United States. Choose the one closest to your visitors so the website loads faster.
3.6. Settings
Settings contains your account name, email address, and password controls. OAuth accounts do not have a Fotbo AI password until one is set here.
Changing Your Name
- Open Settings in the side panel.
- Enter a new value in the name field.
- Click the save button. A confirmation that your changes were saved will appear.
Note. Your profile name is a label used within the service. It does not appear on the websites you create.
Setting or Changing Your Password
The password panel has two modes. An OAuth account without a password shows Set Password with two fields. After a password is set, it shows Change Password with three fields.
- Open Settings and find the password panel.
- If it shows Set Password, enter the password in New Password and Confirm Password, then click Set Password. No current password is required.
- If it shows Change Password, enter your current password in Current Password.
- Enter the replacement in New Password and repeat it in Confirm Password.
- Click Update Password.
The screenshot below shows Change Password mode for an account that already has a password.
Change Password panel in Settings: Current Password, New Password, and Confirm Password fields, and Update Password button.
Warning. The password fields do not have an eye icon, so you cannot check the text you entered on the screen. Type carefully and pay attention to your keyboard layout and Caps Lock: if the two fields contain different passwords, the service will not save the change.
Tip. OAuth accounts do not show Current Password when setting their first password. If an existing password is forgotten, sign out and use Forgot password? on the sign-in page—see section 1.3.
3.7. Help Center
The Help Center item opens the support chat. The chat appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen and shows whether agents are currently available.
Support chat window: PRE-SALES chat heading, an explanation that questions about existing services should be sent to [email protected], “We are online” status with an estimated response time, and Start Conversation button.
Warning. The window is labeled PRE-SALES chat and is intended for questions before purchase. If your question concerns a service you already use (deducted credits, a project issue, or payment), email [email protected]. This is stated in the chat's first message.
How to Contact Support
- Open Help Center in the side panel, or click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Click Start Conversation.
- Describe the situation and send your message. If your question concerns an existing service, email [email protected] instead.
To receive a faster response, include the following information right away:
- The email address used to register the account and your sign-in method (Google, GitHub, or password).
- The name of or link to the project concerned.
- What you did, what you expected to see, and what actually happened.
- The exact error message or a screenshot of the screen.
- For credit-related questions, the transaction time from Transaction History on the Balance screen.
Note. The chat window says that agents usually respond within a few minutes.
Tip. A screenshot of the error saves time: support will not have to ask what exactly you see. On Windows, press Print Screen; on macOS, press Shift + Command + 4.
3.8. Signing Out (Sign Out)
Signing out ends your session. You should do this when you have used someone else's or a shared computer, or when you need to sign in with another account.
- Open the profile side panel.
- Click the last item, Sign Out.
- The service will return you to the home page—the same page you saw before signing in, with the Log in and Sign Up buttons.
Warning. Always sign out on a shared or work computer. Closing the tab is not enough: the next person to open fotbo.ai could access your account and spend your credits.
Note. Projects are stored in your account, not in your browser. They do not disappear after you sign out—you will see them in Your Chats as soon as you sign back in. Use your original provider, or email and password if you have set a Fotbo AI password (section 1.2).
3.9. Possible Account Issues
These situations concern the account as a whole rather than one specific menu item.
| What happens | Why it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The balance is incorrect or did not load | The data has not finished updating after the most recent transaction | Click Retry in the top-right corner of the Balance screen |
| Credits disappeared even though you did nothing | They were deducted for the latest generation, or the period was reset | Open Transaction History and compare the transaction times with your activity |
| Log in and Sign Up buttons appear instead of the profile panel | The session ended, or you signed out on this device | Sign in through your original provider, or use email and password if you have set a Fotbo AI password—see section 1.2 |
| Changes in Settings are not saved | The save button was not clicked, or the connection was interrupted | Make the change again and wait for the on-screen confirmation. If it does not appear, refresh the page and check whether the value was saved |
| Restrictions remain after payment | The page is showing an outdated account state | Refresh the page, then check My Subscription. If the status is not Active, contact support and attach the receipt |
4. How to Pay for a Plan
Payment becomes necessary when the Free plan is no longer enough: you need to publish your website online, connect a custom domain, or receive a larger credit allowance. This section covers the entire process, from choosing a plan to confirming the payment.
Note. Payments are processed through Stripe, an international payment system. You enter your card details on Stripe's side; Fotbo AI cannot see or store them.
4.1. What to Know Before Paying
- The date of your next payment under the Live plan is shown on the Balance page: https://fotbo.ai/balance/
- The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
- Your card is saved for future payments—the service tells you this on the page shown after payment.
- You need a card that is enabled for online payments in foreign currencies.
- The payment receipt is sent by email to the address associated with your account.
4.2. Method One: From the Pricing Page
This method is suitable if you have not subscribed before or want to compare the plans first.
- Open the website and go to Pricing in the top menu.
- Compare the two plans: Free and Live. A checkmark or cross next to each feature makes it easy to see what is unavailable on the Free plan.
- Under the plan cards, click Get Started in the Live column.
- If you are not signed in, the sign-in or registration window will open. Sign in through your original provider, or use email and password if you have set a Fotbo AI password (section 1.2); otherwise, create an account.
- After you sign in, the service will take you to the subscription checkout.
Tip. Before paying, create at least one website on the Free plan. This lets you see how the service works before committing—especially since Free includes 300 credits per month.
4.3. Method Two: From Your Account
This method is suitable if you already have an account and are working in the service.
- Open the profile side panel using the tab on the left.
- Select My Subscription.
- Click Manage Plan to open the plan comparison (Figure 21).
- In the Live card, click the button to switch to that plan.
- Check the amount and billing period on the confirmation screen.
Note. If you already use the Live plan, its card has a disabled Current plan button, while the Free card has a Downgrade button.
4.4. Paying by Card
- On the payment page, enter your card number, expiration date, and CVC code.
- If requested, enter the cardholder's name and address—the fields shown depend on your bank and country.
- Click the button to confirm the payment.
- If your bank requires confirmation (3-D Secure), approve the payment in your banking app or enter the code from the SMS message.
Warning. Do not close the tab during payment; wait for the service to return you to Fotbo AI. If you close the page during confirmation, the payment may succeed without the plan activating immediately, in which case you will need to contact support.
4.5. What Happens After Payment
After a successful payment, a confirmation page opens. It says that Stripe has confirmed the payment, the Live plan is being activated, and the card has been saved for future payments. A receipt is sent to your email address.
The page has two buttons: Start Building takes you directly to the workspace, and View Subscription opens My Subscription so you can make sure the plan is active.
- Open My Subscription and check that the plan's status is Active.
- Check the Next billing date—this is the date of the next automatic charge.
- Open Balance: your credit allowance should update to match the plan.
Tip. Save the receipt from your email. If a payment question arises later, support will ask for it because it contains the transaction time and amount.
4.6. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation
The next charge date appears on the subscription screen. On the Balance screen, the same date is labeled Period ends, next to Auto-renew is on.
To stop automatic renewal, use Cancel Subscription as described in section 3.4. The plan will remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
4.7. If the Payment Fails
| What happens | Why it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The bank declines the payment | The card does not support online or foreign-currency payments, or the daily limit was reached | Check your banking app to make sure online and international payments are enabled, then try again or use another card |
| The payment page does not open | The browser blocked a pop-up, or an extension interfered | Allow pop-ups for the website, disable your ad blocker, and try again |
| The money was charged, but the plan was not activated | There is a delay between the payment system and the service | Refresh the page and check My Subscription. If the status has not changed after a few minutes, contact support and attach the receipt from your email |
| The payment was processed twice | The button was clicked again while the payment was being processed | Email [email protected] and attach both receipts—the extra payment will be refunded |
Appendix A. Prompt Examples
A prompt is the main tool for working with Fotbo AI. The way it is written determines almost everything: how closely the website matches what you need and how many edits you will have to make later.
Use this appendix as a collection of templates: find the closest example, substitute your details, and submit it.
A.1. Formula for a Good Prompt
A strong prompt answers six questions. You do not have to answer all of them, but the more you include, the better.
| Component | Question it answers | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Website type | What exactly are we creating? | landing page, online store, portfolio, blog |
| 2. Industry and name | What business is it for? | “Prana” yoga studio in Lviv |
| 3. Audience | Who is the website for? | women aged 25–45 looking for classes after work |
| 4. Style and colors | What should it look like? | calm minimalism, beige and dark green |
| 5. Sections | Which blocks should it contain? | hero section, schedule, instructors, prices, contacts |
| 6. User action | What should a visitor do on the website? | book a trial class through a form |
Tip. If you do not know which sections you need, do not make them up. Write “Choose the structure that works best for this industry” and see what the service suggests. Editing something that already exists is always easier than starting from scratch.
A.2. Weak and Strong Prompts: A Comparison
Here are three pairs of examples. On the left is what people usually write first; on the right is what produces results.
Example 1. Coffee Shop
Weak prompt:
Create a website for a coffee shop
What is wrong: the service does not know the city, the atmosphere of the venue, or what matters to you. It will invent everything itself—and will most likely guess wrong.
Strong prompt:
Create a website for “Ranok,” an urban coffee shop in central Lviv.
Audience: students and freelancers who come to work on their laptops.
Atmosphere: cozy, warm, and unpretentious.
Colors: milky white, terracotta, and dark brown. Use a soft typeface without sharp angles.Sections:
- Hero section with a large interior photo and a “View menu” button
- About us: a short history of the coffee shop, 2–3 paragraphs
- Menu: coffee, desserts, and breakfast—with prices
- Gallery with 6 photographs
- Opening hours and address with a map
- Contact details: phone number and Instagram
The website should be in Ukrainian and look good on a phone.
Example 2. Independent Professional
Weak prompt:
a nice psychologist website
What is wrong: “nice” is not a description. It does not specify the therapist's specialty or what the visitor should do.
Strong prompt:
Create a brochure website for an independent psychologist.
Specialization: anxiety, burnout, and working with adults. Consultations are online.
Audience: people aged 28–45 who are contacting a psychologist for the first time and are somewhat apprehensive about taking this step.
Tone: calm and warm, without medical terminology or promises of quick results.
Colors: pastels—light blue and sand, with plenty of white space.Sections:
- Hero section: name, specialization, and a “Book a consultation” button
- About me: education, experience, and approach
- What I can help with: 6 cards describing client concerns
- How a consultation works: 3 steps
- Session price and duration
- Booking form: name, phone number, and preferred time
Example 3. Online Store
Weak prompt:
a clothing store with a cart and payments
What is wrong: it does not specify the product range, style, or number of items. In addition, complex payment logic may be beyond the service's capabilities, so it is better to describe the storefront first.
Strong prompt:
Create a storefront website for the “Lita” women's clothing brand.
Products: linen and cotton basics with minimalist cuts.
Audience: women aged 25–40 who value natural fabrics.
Style: clean minimalism, plenty of white space, large photographs, and almost no decoration.
Colors: white, sand, with black accents.Sections:
- Hero section with a photograph and a “View catalog” button
- Catalog: a 9-item grid, each with a photo, name, and price
- About the brand: 2 paragraphs about the fabrics and production
- Shipping and payment: a short list
- Contact form
- Footer with links to Instagram and Telegram
A.3. Ready-Made Prompts for Different Website Types
These templates only require you to replace the highlighted details with your own.
Service Landing Page
Create a one-page landing page for [service] in [city].
The page's main goal is for visitors to submit an inquiry.
Style: [modern / classic / high-tech]. Colors: [color 1] and [color 2].Sections: hero section with a headline and inquiry button; the client's problem;
how we solve it (3 points); work process; prices; testimonials; frequently asked questions;
inquiry form with “Name” and “Phone number” fields.
Company Website
Create a corporate website for [company name], which has worked in [industry] since [year].
Audience: [client description]. Tone: professional and restrained, without exaggerated promises.
Brand colors: [colors].Sections: home; about the company; areas of work (4 cards); our projects;
clients and partners; careers; contact section with a form and map.
Portfolio
Create a portfolio for a [photographer / designer / illustrator].
The work is the focus of the website, so keep text to a minimum.
Style: dark background, large full-width images, and a restrained typeface.Sections: cover with name and field of work; gallery with 12 projects;
a short, one-paragraph “About me” section; services and approximate prices; contact details.
Blog
Create a personal blog about [topic].
Style: calm and easy to read, with a large font for the main text.Sections: home page with a list of the latest articles; individual article page;
categories; about the author; newsletter subscription form.
Event Website
Create a website for the “[name]” [conference / festival / webinar],
taking place on [date] in [city].
Style: bright and energetic. Colors: [colors].Sections: hero section with the date, venue, and registration button; about the event;
hourly schedule; speakers (6 cards with photographs); tickets with several price tiers;
location with a map; frequently asked questions; registration form.
Startup or App Website
Create a website for [name], a mobile app that helps users [what it does].
Audience: [description]. Style: modern and high-tech, with soft gradients.Sections: hero section with an image of the app and download buttons;
three key features; how it works (3 steps); plans; user testimonials;
frequently asked questions; call to download the app.
A.4. Prompts for Making Edits
After creating a website, make all changes in the same way—by entering text in the project chat. Request one edit at a time: this makes the result more predictable and reduces the risk of spoiling something you already like.
Design and Colors
Change the color scheme to dark blue and white.
Make the headings larger and add more space between sections.
Replace the font with a more classic serif typeface.
Round the buttons and add a subtle shadow.
Remove the gradients and use solid backgrounds.
Website Structure
Add a client testimonials section after the services section.
Move the pricing section higher, directly below the hero section.
Remove the “Our team” section.
Add a navigation menu that remains at the top while scrolling.
Add a footer with contact details and social media links.
Text
Make all text approximately half as long, keeping only the essential information.
Rewrite the main headline so it immediately explains what we do.
Make the tone friendly and address the visitor directly.
Translate the entire website into English while preserving its structure and design.
Replace the text in the “About us” section with the following: [your text].
Images
Replace the main image with a photograph of a modern, bright office.
Add a gallery with 6 photographs to the “Our work” section.
Darken the background image so the white text is easy to read.
Use the attached logo in the website header and footer.
Forms and Buttons
Add a contact form with “Name,” “Phone number,” and “Comment” fields.
Make the “Order” button more prominent and repeat it at the bottom of the page.
Add contact buttons for Telegram and WhatsApp.
Change the button text from “Send” to “Get a consultation.”
Mobile Version
Check how the website looks on a phone and fix anything that is misaligned.
Reduce the heading size on mobile because the headings do not fit on one line.
Turn the mobile navigation into a hamburger menu.
SEO and Technical Details
Add a page title and description for search engines.
Keywords: [list].
Add an image for link previews on social media.
If Something Goes Wrong
Restore the previous version of the pricing section—I like the new one less.
You changed the colors across the entire website, but they were only supposed to change in the header. Fix this.
The “Testimonials” section disappeared after the last edit—put it back.
Tip. If you do not like the result of an edit, do not describe what you want again from scratch—ask to restore the previous version of the specific section. This preserves everything else you are already happy with.
A.5. What to Avoid in Prompts
| Avoid this | Why | Better approach |
|---|---|---|
| “Make it look nice” | This is not a description—the service does not know what you consider beautiful | “Make it minimalist: plenty of white space, two colors, and large photographs” |
| Ten different edits in one message | Some may be missed, and it will be unclear exactly what went wrong | Submit one or two edits at a time and check the result |
| “Redo everything completely” | You will lose the successful parts and spend more credits | Describe exactly what you dislike |
| “Make it like my competitor's website” | The service cannot see that website | Attach a screenshot and describe exactly what you like about it |
| Abbreviations and professional jargon | They may be misunderstood | Use complete words, as if explaining it to someone outside your field |
A.6. How to Spend Fewer Credits
- Spend more time on the first prompt. One detailed description costs less than ten small edits after a short prompt.
- Do not create a new project just to change an existing one—edits in the chat cost less than generating from scratch.
- Combine related edits: “change the colors to blue and enlarge the headings” is one request instead of two.
- Decide on the list of sections before submitting the prompt. Rebuilding the structure back and forth uses the most credits.
- Attach finished text and photographs instead of asking the service to invent them and then rewrite them.
A.7. Contact Forms and Visitor Messages
Your generated website may include a contact form that visitors can use to send questions, requests, or their contact details.
For security reasons, sending emails directly from websites created in Fotbo AI is not available. When a visitor submits a contact form, the message is not sent to the website owner's email address.
All messages submitted through the contact form are stored in that website's admin panel. To view visitor inquiries, open the website's admin panel and go to the messages section. To sign in to the admin panel, ask in the generation chat for the admin panel link, username, and password.
Tip. Check the messages in the admin panel regularly so you do not miss new requests. Copies of these messages are not sent by email.
